An adventure game for ages 6 to 9
A summer at Grandma and Grandpa’s, by the sea. A grey mist has stolen the colours and tangled the numbers. Only you can see what it has mixed up.
1 / 5
This summer, you are staying in Ker Lyman, at Grandma and Grandpa’s. A granite cottage, blue shutters, hydrangeas, and the sea at the end of the garden.
2 / 5
Grandpa used to keep it. Since he retired, the lamp no longer turns. And from the open sea, a grey mist is drifting towards the coast.
3 / 5
Wherever it goes, colours fade, numbers get muddled and the letters on the signs swap places.
4 / 5
The grown-ups shrug. They don’t see a thing. They are kind, just a little absent-minded.
5 / 5
You notice what the mist has mixed up, and you know how to put it right. Every success brings a little colour back to the world.
In the game
Real pictures of the game, taken while playing episode 1. Nothing retouched.

Learning by playing
You count the eggs because Grandma is making crêpes, and you read the clock because the tide won’t wait. Every challenge has a reason to exist in the world.
The game starts at the level you choose, for ages 6 to 9, then adapts skill by skill to keep success around 80%: hard enough to progress, easy enough to stay motivated.
One mistake, and the instruction is said another way. Two, and a visual aid appears. Three, and Grandpa shows how it’s done. The child always makes the final move.
First you count eggs you can see, then boxes of ten, then the number alone. That is the approach of the 2025 French curriculum.

Between two quests
No challenge, no timer: just the joy of being there. And nothing is lost while you are away.
Puppy or kitten?
Adopted at Loïc’s farm and named by your child. It learns to sniff things out, dig and carry messages, and it is always happy to see you again.
Sow, water, harvest. It grows between two sessions, and ends up in Grandma’s recipes.
At low tide, you turn a rock over, find a crab… and put the rock back, just as Grandpa showed you.
Whisk, pour, flip the crêpe. Well-made dishes give you a boost in battles.
Decorate, tidy up, display your shells and feathers. A corner of the world all your own.
Photograph birds, the otter, the distant lighthouses, and fill up your nature notebook.
The Misted
Gulls, crabs, rabbits: the local animals are covered in grey mist. Battles are turn-based, and the challenges only use what the child already masters.
Élan: a powerful attack, and the Élan gauge fills up.
A normal attack. Nothing is lost.
A normal attack too, and the right answer is shown.
The Lighthouse Beam clears all the mist at once.

What is 4 + 7?
The timer adapts to the child, and parents can turn it off.
Ten episodes, a whole summer
From mid-July to the end of August, your child explores a land inspired by the coast of Ploemeur, in Brittany. Each episode has its subject, its places, its boss, and its share of the mystery: where does the mist come from?
Eight shells, eight verses
Each boss you free leaves a shell engraved with a verse. The last verse will be written by your child.
Episode 1Free
Unpack your suitcase, find the eggs for the crêpes, sow Grandpa’s vegetable patch, adopt a puppy or a kitten… and relight the dark lighthouse.
Episode 2
Cycle to the village, where the baker can’t make her sums add up. On the harbour, a huge grey crab has settled on Yann’s lobster pots.
Episode 3
Every night, shop signs lose letters. A prankster korrigan leaps from roof to roof with a bag of stolen letters. What is he trying to write?
Episode 4
Three days of spring tides: the fort can only be reached on foot around low water. Watch in hand, you explore the ramparts. And something is stirring in the cistern.
Episode 5
Grandma takes her boat out of the shed. Mackerel fishing, the cormorant cave, and an old wreck where an octopus jumbles the words of sentences.
Episode 6
The big bird count turns into a puzzle, and they say the White Lady haunts the old farm. Then comes the first night, under the shooting stars.
Episode 7
The mill has stopped turning: no flour, no crêpes! Along the river, otters, salmon, and a coypu who is far too greedy.
Episode 8
The great Celtic festival of the summer: pipe bands, fest-noz, the dawn fish auction. But the mist has upset every clock, and the boat to the island no longer sails.
Episode 9
Dolphins in the wake, then the island where Grandpa spent his childhood summers. Here, the mist is thicker than anywhere else.
Episode 10
At the highest tide of the summer, the sea uncovers a cave. Deep inside lies the answer to the mystery of the mist. Then it is time to pack your suitcase.
For parents
We designed Ker Lyman the way we would like our own children’s games to be designed: no traps, no pressure, and a real end to the day.
A game day lasts 15 to 20 minutes. At sunset, Grandma calls everyone in for dinner and the game saves with a little recap. It is the right moment to put the screen away, without frustration.
If your child takes a three-week break, their puppy is not hungry: it is simply delighted to see them again. The vegetable patch has waited patiently.
Your child’s profile stays on the device by default, with no child account. Cloud saves go through a parent account, with your explicit consent.
The yearly milestones of the French “cycle 2” (ages 6 to 9): handle then abstract, early fractions, more mental maths, money from age 7, and spaced repetition to anchor what has been learned.
The Andika font, optional school cursive, adjustable text size, high contrast. Instructions and dialogue are always written large, and no information is carried by colour alone.
Grandma is making crêpes for tea.
Protected by a small grown-up sum, it shows the skills learned and the time played. You set the session length and the battle timer, and you can target a school topic.
